EXHIBITION – NOÉMIE COURONNÉ “Palace Athena”

An opening following a closing, the 29/09 will be the launch of Palace Athena; the exhibition of the ceramist Noémie Couronné. Until the 29/10, Extra-Ordinaire is welcome the work of the Brussels-based artist. Below, a summary of the expo as seen by Brussels Design September: 

“At a time when the art of the table is in full swing development and where ceramics has resumed its letters of nobility, Noémie couronne offers a “Palace Athena” collection of one hundred earthenware plates with a singular shape. The unique pieces have ears and expressive faces are painted in cobalt blue before being enameled. Sometimes, in these faces presented vertically like masks, eyes feel like duplicating, preventing the find of a single gaze in the characters.”
